YouTube ECL provider

This eXtension is an External Content Library provider which exposes videos from YouTube in SDL Tridion 2013. The first version supports displaying videos from a single specified account, but could potentially be extended to allow search, multiple users, video upload and publishing in future.

Installation

Drop the files into C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Tridion\External Content Library\AddInPipeline\Addins\YouTubeProvider.

Configure the provider in the ExternalContentLibrary.xml file in Tridions config directory. In that file, add a new mountpoint specifying the stub folder location, the privileged user and the details of a YouTube account. You will need a YouTube API developer key from https://code.google.com/apis/youtube/dashboard/gwt/index.html as well as the username and password. Optionally, the user whose videos should be displayed can be specified.

After changing the ExternalContentLibrary.xml file, you will need to restart the Tridion Service Host and then the YouTube ECL mountpoint will be available to use.
