Web Analytics Enabler - Coremetrics (production ready)
What does it bring?
SDL Tridion and Coremetrics created a limited integration between the SDL Tridion content management system (from R5.3) and Coremetrics. This integration allows SDL Tridion users to enable Web Analytics on their web pages with a simple drag & drop action. Coremetrics measures the behavior of the visitors on your website and gives you the ability to create reports.
Page View and Search measuring
The Page View tag is used to capture clickstream data throughout the site. A Page View tag tells Coremetrics that someone has viewed the page indicated by the Page ID. The Page View tag also captures data related to onsite searches.
The Error tag captures views of system error pages within your site. The Error tag should only be used for system error pages, such as 404 or 500 pages, and not for user error pages that users might see because they didnt fill in all required fields.
The WebForms tag is used for tracking conversion events. The populated values are used for the Conversion Event Reports.
How does it work?
To enable your website for measuring the behavior of your visitors, you have to add measuring code to your web pages. Use the Template Builder to build your template and add the code by simply drag & drop a pre-installed (measuring) Template Building Block.
The manual that is included in the download package, describes what you need to do to implement the eXtension for Coremetrics.
Making it production ready
Add a function call to cmSetProduction so that the package can be used in production environment. See csfile 'Measuring Pageview.revised.cs'.
This eXtension up to version 3.0 is contributed by Ylja Stunnenberg, ASR
