SDL Tridion Community week in review - January 22, 2012

Hi everyone, and welcome to our weekly community activity review for January 22nd.

The biggest event of this week was Saturday's announcement of the SDL Tridion MVPs for 2012, our 3rd year in a row with this program that has undoubtedly helped create a wider and deeper sense of a Technical Community for SDL Tridion technical resources around the world.

This year the MVP Selection Panel chose 9 professionals that continuously provided help and support to the Technical Community out there throughout the year of 2011 in the various shapes and forms that constitute a modern online community: Twitter, Linked-In, Facebook, Tridion Forum, and their personal weblogs.

The 2012 SDL Tridion MVPs are:

  • Albert Romkes
  • Chris Summers
  • Dominic Cronin
  • John Winter
  • Kah Tang
  • Nickoli Roussakov
  • Ram Gonuguntla
  • Ryan Durkin
  • Vinod Bhagat

In addition, in line with what has by now become a tradition, the Selection Panel also chose 9 individuals that currently work for SDL WCMS as "Community Builders". These individuals are excluded from the MVP list since they work for SDL, but the panel would like to acknowledge their contributions to the community. This year's Community Builders are:

  • Alvin Reyes
  • Andrey Marchuk
  • Bart Koopman
  • Frank van Puffelen
  • Jaime Santos
  • Jeremy Grand-Scrutton
  • Julian Wraith
  • Nuno Linhares
  • Peter Kjaer

If you're curious about the geographic distribution, this is it:
