SDL Tridion 2013 SP1 Released

SDL, the leading provider of solutions for Customer Experience Management announces the launch of SDL Tridion 2013 SP1. This Service Pack introduces a brand new user interface that is aligned across all SDL products to enable end users to seamlessly navigate between various SDL solutions. Further enhancements include features to deliver contextual experiences, performance improvements and integration with SDL BeGlobal.

Highlights include

SDL Tridion 2013 SP1 adds key mobile capabilities through a newly introduced Context Engine and Device Database. Integration with SDL Customer Analytics further enhances the ability to create a highly personalized experience through advanced visitor segmentation.

Translations

A direct integration with SDL BeGlobal enables authors to translate content directly from within SDL Tridion. A choice between various quality levels is available, ranging from machine translation to full human translation.

Archive Manager and Content Porter

A public API for Content Porter enables automated execution of content export and import actions between Development, Test, QA and Production Servers,

Updates to Archive Manager improve the speed of publication of content, by decoupling the publication process from the updates to Archive Manager.

Dependent products

As a result of the release of SDL Tridion 2013 SP1, the following products are affected:

  • The SDL Tridion Connector 2011 for SharePoint and SDL Tridion Connector for ECM Documentum are replaced by the SDL Tridion  Connector 1.0 for CMIS
  • SDL Tridion 2013 enters its Support grace period of 6 months, ending at June 6th 2014, after which it will enter the Retired status
